WHY THE NEED FOR SUCH A MUSEUM?
“The study of war promotes its absence. The absence of its study promotes its propagation. War is an inevitable part of the human experience. More than any other form of human behavior, it shapes all our lives. Yet few understand it.

The Second Article to the U.S. Constitution exclusively empowers every citizen with the right and responsibility through their elected officials, to govern the use of their military. Fewer still, understand that fact. As a result, the employment of military force by our nation has been both frequently misunderstood and flagrantly misused. Monuments alone add to the confusion. The average American has little perception of the epic task that has, and continues to be undertaken to provide them with the Democratic freedoms and principles that we all enjoy. A centralized war museum with its “cost of freedom” theme and “educational outreach programs like The Hands of Peace have been designed to alter that perception.”

Kenneth James Moore, Founder and Chairman.
